It’s become sort of a joke in our family about where this recipe actually came from. For this purpose I’m giving the credit to my sister, Mary. She’s a cracker jack cook – whatever she brings is always a favorite at our family gatherings!

Aunt Mary’s Tortellini Soup

1 bunch of cooked broccoli
6 cups of water
3 cans condensed chicken broth or homemade chicken stock
1 can of cream of chicken soup
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 cup chopped onions
2 cups sliced carrots
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/s tsp. basil leaves
1 package of frozen tortellini or small ravioli

In large saucepan, combine first 10 ingredients and cook for 10 minutes. Then add tortellini and cook for 30 minutes. Add broccoli and simmer for 5 more minutes. Serve with Italian grated cheese.
